Whitby in North Yorkshire remains one of the regions most popular tourist hotspots, and with good reason. The town is at the mouth of the River Esk, and this old fishing port retains mush character in its winding streets and hidden alleys. There is a picturesque harbour, sandy beach and the famous Whitby Abbey. Close to other seaside destinations such as Scarborough, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby is also ideally placed for heading inland and exploring the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors National Park.

"This flat is ideal for your holiday stay just far enough out to be quiet at all times. However we were met by a dreadful smell of smoke as the previous tenents had ignored the no smoking rule. The cleaner had left us a note appologising for the same, it was in no way her fault and she had done her best to clear the smell. That said we had a lovely week with our grandchildren doing all the the things that Whitby is famous for, even the donkeys turned out!"
