Outside is a store for your bikes and a pretty garden with outdoor furniture. A mile from the village, Lew Quarry Cottage is a magical place for a peaceful break in Devon. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Lifton is a small village in the upper Tamar Valley, close to Launceston and the passing A30 road into Cornwall. This pretty community, once sitting astride the old A30 London to Penzance trunk road, is blessed with a village shop and post office, a superb pub and 3 top quality restaurants.

"Wow, what a wonderful place to stay! The pictures don't do it justice, its a chocolate box looking cottage. With all the extras to make your stay easier. We had a week there in the summer with my wife and 2 girls (12 & 16). We all enjoyed it immensely, the lovely lady who looks after it, was so helpful, bought us plenty of wood for a roaring fire and even milk, bread and scones for a cream tea on our arrival. Excellent location for days out and beautiful local walks. The stream walk was so nice, (take your wellies). The Wifi was a godsend for us all to be able connect to the outside world, but there was almost no phone signal at the cottage. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage, to anyone looking to get away and enjoy the surrounding areas. The garden was beautifully kept and a glass of wine in the evenings, watching the sun go down was very special!"
