The cottage blends contemporary, modern style within the characterful features of the cottage. Sleeping 2 people in 1 bedroom. One double bedroom. Situated in the heart of Grasmere village in the picturesque Lake District. Beck Steps has a boutique hotel style interior, combines modern luxury with romantic style to create the perfect Lakes hideaway for a couple. The stylish living room with its Lakeland stone flagged floor, wood burning stove and cosy yet contemporary furnishings. The Shaker style kitchen is clean and bright and luxuriously fitted out and there's a door out to the patio. Upstairs is pure luxury, from the king size bed and lovely Shaker style bedroom suite to the bathroom with its claw-footed freestanding tub and oversized telephone shower. There's also a hand basin, WC and heated towel rail to complete the opulent yet relaxed feel. Outside there's a patio with garden furniture, ideal for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine after a busy day's sightseeing. Private parking for one car is also provided at the rear of the property, while the front door opens almost directly on to the traditional village green. Grasmere is one of the most vibrant and sought after villages in the Lake District, famous for its gingerbread and its association with the Lakeland poets. William Wordsworth lived on the outskirts of the village at Dove Cottage and was inspired to write his famous poem 'Daffodils' here. Modern Grasmere has a wide range of facilities including fabulous restaurants and pubs, and there are walking opportunities literally on the doorstep. Perfectly located for an exploration of everything that the spectacular Lake District has to offer, Beck Steps 1 in Grasmere is the ideal romantic bolt hole at any time of year. Beck Steps 1, Grasmere is a lovely character cottage that combines all the luxury and convenience of a boutique hotel with plenty of period charm. The perfect romantic retreat for a couple, there's a king-size double bedroom with views over the village green, and a luxury hotel style bathroom with roll top bath, telephone shower, pedestal hand basin and WC. On the ground floor, there's a cosy yet contemporary living room with woodburner and plasma TV and a Shaker style kitchen that's been beautifully fitted out. The patio with garden furniture is an ideal spot to unwind and there's private parking for one car. Just seconds' walk to all the amenities of beautiful Grasmere, this is the ideal spot for a romantic break in the spectacular Lake District at any time of year.

"Beck Steps 1 is a well equipped cottage in the centre of Grasmere, an ideal place for a couple to stay. It has a warm and cosy atmosphere and provided everything we needed. The only very, very minor disappointment was that there was no matches/firelighters on arrival, so we couldn't make a fire and no dishwasher tablets, so we didn't use the dishwasher. Otherwise this would have been an absolute perfect stay, but we will be back......fabulous."
"A really well presented cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing weeks holiday. Comfortable bed, huge shower and bath, well equipped kitchen and comfortable sofa. A pleasant suprise was the little takeaway next door doing good coffee and great homemade pastries!"
