Overview
The character barn conversion is located in the village of Greystoke in the Lake District and can sleep three people in two bedrooms. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x single. Family bathroom with shower over bath, basin, WC. Open plan living/dining/kitchen.
Lavender Cottage is one of three attached cottages that can be booked singly or as a unit. Lavender Cottage sits at one end of the row and has been converted to a very high standard, offering a lovely light and bright open plan living area downstairs with a fully fitted kitchen plus a double and single bedroom upstairs and a family bathroom. Outside there's a patio seating area to take in the fantastic views and the use of an enclosed paddock with picnic tables, which is ideal for children. There's private parking, and shared use of the BBQ and well equipped laundry room. There are two pubs within a mile of the property and the lively town of Penrith is just a 10 minute drive. Lavender Cottage is the ideal jumping off point for an exploration of the glorious North Lakes at any time of year. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Oil and electricity included, bed linen and towels provided. Cot available. Off-road parking. Patio with furniture, enclosed paddock with picnic tables, shared BBQ. Electric vehicle charging point. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Pubs 1 mile. Biking and hiking trails within 100m. Penrith, 10 minute drive.

Greystoke is full of history, being home to a number of 17th century cottages, and is only 5 miles from Penrith. Situated on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park, there is plenty to do for those who love the outdoors. Nearby is the town of Keswick, offering a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as numerous activities including the popular Theatre on the Lake. Visit Penrith and explore the remains of Lowther Castle. With lots to do, Greystoke is a great location for those looking to getaway.

"Lavender Cottage is one of three holiday cottages at Wydon Farm. The cottage is prettily furnished with lots of nice touches, and for me, most importantly spotlessly clean. Pretty farmyard setting with neatly laid out seating and BBQ areas and a paddock for children to play in. The owners have struck a really nice balance between being family friendly but furnishing the accomodation that it is equally suitable for a couples getaway. Perfect location nestled conveniently between Penrith and Keswick. We had awful weather but it was nice to know we had a warm dry cottage to go back to each night."
"This is a fantastic cottage equipped with all you need. The owners made us feel very welcome- we saw sheep from the front door - made you feel like you were on a farm. We had our 2 year old little girl with us and she just loved it, thought that I would mention that there are baby gates which put our minds at rest.(They even have a playhouse in the paddock. We recieved complimentary Biscuits, Wine and milk on arrival wich was great. Will definately return to Lavander cottage."
"This is a really lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, cosy & warm and really well equipped. It is in an excellent location for the North Lakes about 15 mins drive into Keswick, 10 mins to Ullswater, 10 mins to M6. I would imagine its proximity to the A66 might be a problem if you are sitting outside in the summer and are easily disturbed by road noise, but the advantages easily outweigh that. We stayed in the adjacent cottage at Easter and would definitely book again, the owners are really friendly and we were able to arrive early and leave later as there was nobody in the cottage immediately before or after us."

"Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in. So well equipped and cosy. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great central location in the lake district. Two pubs within walking distance. Penrith just 5 miles away with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Ullswater just 4 miles away. The owners are very pleasant and helpful if there is anything you need to know. Can't wait to go back!"
"This cosy little cottage was really thoughtfully and tastefully appointed with everything you could possibly need. It was ideally situated for days out in both the lake district national park, and the pennines. Extremely peaceful, no noticeable road noise or farmyard noises!"
"The cottage was spotlessly clean with all the local infomation awaiting us, the owners were available to offer advice and assitance if required. The cottage itself was of a high quality with everything we could require, for a holiday. The location was ideal, in that it was close to the motorway and Keswick, the heart of the lake district. But also rural with spectacular views and a real sense of being in the middle of one of the major beauty spots of the UK. All local amenities, ie, supermarkets and good quality resturants were within easy reach. My only critisim was that I had to leave."
