"I booked your cottage through sykes cottages ..they would not give me your details ..i blocked the last payment because my emails were not getting answered ..so they cancelled my holiday for june ... I asked for a refund but was told no ..i could only change my dates to dates that im still unsure if I can travel ...it was that or lose all my money .. Anyway sykes cottages also said that they dont hold any of the monies and it all goes to the owners .. I understand that its a difficult time for all of us ..but scamming holiday makers is just not on"

"Squirrel Cottage was everything we hoped for from reading the listing, and so much more when we got to experience it on our stay; - The location was perfect for exploring the local area and beyond to surrounding areas in this magnificent part of the world - Nicola is the perfect host. From arrangements to key collection, to local advice to maximise the experience of your stay - she really helped to make our stay one we will not forget for a lifetime! - As soon as you walk into the cottage, you are greeted with a super informative information pack. The guidebook for dog walks in Snowdonia provided invaluable information for dog friendly walks! And thanks to this our dog has had the best walks of her life so far! - The cottage itself felt so homely. Every detail that Nicola went to were greatly appreciated, from the doggie biscuits and blanket on arrival, to the bottle of prosecco and chocolates. Nicola has done a wonderful job of restoring this characterful cottage, and everything about it has such a luxurious feel. - The yoga studio is a wonderful space, and we enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck, overlooking the incredible view. I have to say this has been one of the most comfortable stays away from home we have ever had, and i recommend anyone to try the Squirrel Cottage experience :)"

"Absolutely stunning location in beautiful Betws-y-Coed. All shops, pub and train station within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the cottage with stunning views in every direction. The cottage was so welcoming and cozy in the evenings with a lovely wood burner, a fantastic bathroom and well equipped kitchen, and a gorgeous garden leading up to the Yoga pod, which was an real bonus after a long day walking. Nicola could not have been more helpful and it was a lovely touch to find a bottle of fizz and some choccies waiting for us on our arrival. Everything we needed and more for a wonderful holiday. Will definitely be back. x"

"Seven months after and holding back on leaving a bad review i decided to leave one anyway. This mainly due to the fact that Sykes holiday have done nothing in the way of rectifying the issue we had with the property and owner. Please be advised that if you wish to stay in this cottage you need to be aware of a few things. The bathroom roof leaks, Which was the owner stated was not the case but i can assure you does. The fireplace mantel is not secure {dangerous.} At one point we were unable to turn off the gas cooker due to a faulty knob. The shower leaks into the kitchen, and the whole place could have done with a good clean to mention a few. After voicing our concerns all were denied by the owner, and we were left high and dry by Sykes saying they could do no more. Good luck if you stay there."
