Hi- speed fibre broadband, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Patio area with furniture. Sorry, no smoking. One well-behaved dog welcome. Pub, shops, restaurants and award winning fish and chip shop 2 mins walk. Note: Check in is from 4pm.

This bustling town offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat and is surrounded by walking country, with high open moorland as well as wooded valleys. The nearby market town of Barnard Castle can be easily reached, along with the notable waterfalls.including High Force, and Gibson's Cave.

"A very nice house with a very well equipped kitchen in a quiet village. Two pubs, shops, and a fish and chip shop all in less than a five minute walk. The house is in the ideal location with nice walks and waterfalls only a few minutes drive away. The only issues we had with the cottage were: No locks on the toilet or bathroom doors, The showers need a mat or something in them as they are very slippery, On our day of departure the cleaners turned up Forty minutes before we were due to vacate and sat in their car, looking at us through the window, which was a bit rude. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Oak Cottage to others."

"We were the first people to book this property and it was truly fabulous The property is located in the heart of Middleton in Teesdale, right behind the Fish and Chip shop. The property is very spacious and is very well equipped, everything you could ever need has been thought of, and provided. Outside there is a small seating area and plenty of off road parking. We had a fabulous week here and would not hesitate to book again"
