This delightful, character cottage sits in a rural location, near the village of Goathland in North Yorkshire and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Two ground floor bedrooms: 1 x King with en-suite shower, basin, bidet and WC, 1 x twin. Ground floor basin and WC. First floor open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with Log burner.
Orchard Cottage is a cottage situated 1.5 miles from the village of Goathland in North Yorkshire. The cottage has two bedrooms; a double with an en-suite and a twin, there is also a ground floor cloakroom, the property can sleep four people. The first floor open-plan living area comprises of a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. To the outside of the cottage there is off road parking for two cars, communal grounds, as well as a private lawned orchard garden to the front with furniture. Set in a beautiful location, Orchard Cottage is a lovely holiday cottage for couples or a small family. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Oil central heating. Log Burner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, TV with FreeSat, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Power and starter pack for woodburners inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Private lawned orchard garden with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop & pubs 20 minute walk along The Old Rail Trail Bridleway. Note: The only bathroom in the property is the en-suite to the king bedroom. Note: There are 6 steps down to the main entrance, although there is level access across the lawn to the lobby entrance. Note: There is a fenced stream 50 yards away, please ensure children are supervised. Note: The North Yorkshire Moors steam railway passes the bottom of the garden with up to two trains per hour passing by during the day in the operating season. Note: No Stag/Hen parties. Note: Please note a log burner has been installed since the photographs, where the sheep footstool is. Note - Property not suitable for infants. Check in for this property is 3.30pm

Goathland, the setting for TV show 'Heartbeat', is on the north eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park. It is surrounded by moorlands which provide excellent walking. At the bottom of the village is the North York Moors Steam Railway. Goathland is also within reach of Whitby and Staithes.

"This orchard cottage is in an absolute stunning location ,owners are very friendly but not intrusive, steam trains passing near to cottage which is great to see,your own big private garden to relax in (if you get the right weather),very good walks in all directions from the door especially the lane that takes you into goathland which brings you out next to the adensfield pub (heartbeat).Inside the cottage is just the best,very clean,well maintained ,very comfortable and warm with great views over the countryside .we had the best uninterrupted nights sleep in years as its so peaceful .only downside we should have stayed two weeks instead of one.Thank you to the owners for the wine,cake,biscuits etc. John & julie."
"We have been coming here for years and are never disappointed. The cottage is always spotlessly clean and is very quirky. The owners leave little treats for your arrival and these are very welcome after a long drive. The cottage is great to watch the NYMR from as the line runs along the bottom of the garden. Great base for visiting Whitby, Pickering and the local villages of Goathland and Grosmont. We are already looking forward to our next visit."
