Roadside parking on first come, first served. One well-behaved pet allowed. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 6 mins walk.

The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the edge of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this wonderful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.

"This place superseded my expectations, it was light, airy and very very clean. The view of the sea and the Abbey were mesmerising and to add to my glee the owner had provided binoculars! Clearly the owner had put a lot of thought into making it very accommodating for visitors and family's alike. I (and my two year old) especially liked the toy chest and the book shelf which he could 'take' from at his free will. Everywhere was beautifully presented and we really appreciated the milk in the fridge, the tea and coffee sachets and the delicious biscuits which were left out for us. The place had all the facilities to make it a 'home from home' for example washing machine, microwave, fridge, freezer, lovely towels, children safe plates and cups. In addition I particularly liked the fact you could smell the fabric softener on the throws on the settees and also the bed sheets.....what can I say, its the little touches that go a long way. I just wish we had stayed for longer!!! No car parking outside but we parked in the hospital whilst we unloaded and then we found a long stay car park approximately a 10 minute walk away."
"We are a family of 2 adults, a 2year old a 6 month old and a dog and we stayed in this wonderful appointment for a week. I was a touch apprehensive before our stay as I didn't know how practical staying in an apartment and one with no alocated parking would be with 2 small children and a dog. I can honestly say this is a really great apartment and during our week stay we had no problem finding parking close by. The appartment is so clean and well equipped and very child and dog friendly. High chair and travel cot provided and lots of lovely games and books to keep them busy. There was even plastic cups and plates for the kids and dog bowls for the dog. The sea views from appartment are just beautiful and the location is great and easy walking distance from all the main attractions. Highly recommended and hope to be back."
