Belle View is an ideal base in a central location perfect for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for many visitors to the Lake District, both providing a range of attractions, amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. Boat trips are available from Bowness to Ambleside and Lakeside, where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 15-minute walk away and Brockhole, which offers tree top experiences is only one mile away.

"The location for this apartment is massively appealing. It is right in the centre and everything is literally two minutes from your door, including - bakeries, eateries, COOP/Tesco, pubs and a bank machine. The apartment itself is spacious and comfy and had everything we required, we were even supplied with towels, cleaning equipment and bedding. Along with having a free view tv, board games and loads of info on the attractions round and about. The apartment was clean, whilst some of the front room couches are a little dated there is nothing wrong with them they are comfy and well kept. The view from the kitchen is fantastic right across the lake, I thought it might be loud on a night as right in the centre, however we didn't really hear a peep other than from the restaurent which stopped at 11pm. I would defintely recommend this place. The parking spot you could see from the flat window, the only downside was the drive up to the parking spot, this is basically a one way road due to all the cars parked on the side up the hill, so I would just advise to be careful driving up here. Spot on vacation will be returning."
