This Georgian terraced cottage is in the centre of Scarborough near to Whitby and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Over three floors. Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x second floor twin (zip/link can be super king-size double on request). Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Dining room. Sitting room with woodburner. Second floor TV room.
Wellington Place is a lovely Georgian terraced cottage situated just twenty miles from Whitby in North Yorkshire. The cottage can sleep four people in one king-size double bedroom and one twin (zip/link) together with family shower room. Also in the cottage is a kitchen, dining room, sitting room with woodburner and TV room. Outside there is roadside parking and a private patio with furniture. Wellington Place is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of the country. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Popular since Victorian times, the vibrant seaside town of Scarborough retains many of its original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its historic castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two superb stretches of beautiful, golden sandy beaches, popular with families and small children. There are a number of child-friendly activities and many excellent visitor attractions for grown-ups too, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music.

"This is one of the nicest properties we've stayed in North Yorkshire. It's perfectly placed for the town centre and walks around the bay. It's clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The lounge is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped, the shower is amazing! and the bedrooms are very decorated and comfortable. I cannot find fault with this property and would recommend it to anyone!"
"Just returned from this delightful holiday home. Our first holiday with our little baby aided by the grandparents. Ideally situated between the North & South Bays....5min walk from both & town. Nicely decorated, lots of appliances, never lit the wood burner as not quite cold enough (may have to visit in winter!!), brilliant WiFi. Nice & clean, easily accessible from main roads etc. Only little comment I have is the bathroom could do with an extractor, be a shame to steam damage the decor....absolutely loved the roomy bathroom & shower though. Nice sized bathrooms, the 3 storeys keep you fit. Recommend for a family or a couple of couples or just a couple. Loved the extractor fan btw with the changing light colours....what make is it? Many thks, hope to return at some point. "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wellington Place and it was great that we could take our dog too. The accommodation was immaculate and very cosy. We hardly had to use the car at all as it is ideally placed for the beaches and local pubs and restaurants. We will definitely be revisiting."

"This cottage is like no other holiday rental I had ever stayed in. The owners Janette and Lee had made every effort possible to make this a complete home away from home. We were so warmly welcomed it felt like we were staying with relatives! The location is fabulous, central yet not in the midst of the hustle and bustle. The decor is absolutely beautiful and as for the bathroom, absolutely astounding! We honestly could not recommend this rental enough and we very much hope to go back next year! "
"Our family visited the holiday home last week and it was a superb wee place . ( 2 adults & 2 young kids & dog ). I loved the welcome pack of haribo sweets to the dog chews for our big mutt. The finish inside is excellent and well kitted out for everything you need. The games room is great for the kids on a rainy day ( and for the adults ! Old skool games for the X Box ) The wifi is good and works well on the TV Apps. The house is well placed to walk into the town or along the beach, everything is about 10 mins walk away. I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a wee holiday in Scarborough . If I was being really picky my only criticism is the parking and sea gull poo all over the car ! But it's the sea side so what do you expect . We managed to get the car parked in front of the house on most nights so not a major issue. Our family have stayed in many country 5 star lodges and this house is definitely up there with them , well done and thanks for a great stay. "
"Jeanette & Lee have made every effort to make this house feel like a home from home. The moment you arrive, you feel welcome & the decor has a real holiday feel to it to get you into the holiday mood. The house is very historic but with gorgeous modern amenities, I love love loved the walk in rain shower!! The kitchen is beautiful & it was so refreshing to have decent sized wine glasses instead of the tiny ones you usually get in holiday properties! The 'den' is a great idea too, satisfied kids means a more enjoyable holiday all around! It's a great location too, near enough to the centre but far away enough from the crowds. If you wander around the corner, you'll get amazing views of the North Bay. For us, it was a great base to explore more of the North Yorks coastline. If you stay here, please give it the TLC it deserves & so it stays just as fabulous for our next visit!!"
