The town of Ilfracombe lies on a stretch of North Devon coastline, with five beaches. Ilfracombe is only a ten minute drive from Exmoor National Park, with its rolling countryside. The heritage harbour and quay are worth a visit, home to many pubs, restaurants and shops in the surrounding area. To the east of Ilfracombe are the unique villages of Lynton and Lynmouth with its clifftop railway, and to the west lie Clovelly and Hartland.

"Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. The garden was great. But the shower did not drain (we fixed it ourselves), the kitchen equipment was poor there was only one wine glass we were supplied with 3 dishwasher tablets. The instructions for finding the cottage were poor as no road number was supplied. There was a broken blind and missing pictures. There were no facilities for recycling. Little things make a big difference. I contacted the management firm about the problems but they did not get back"
"We had a lot of trouble trying to open the key safe. the man from Sandpiper came to our recuse he was so helpful. The property could do with a clean of all the corners and behind the corner sofa. The shower takes 10 mins for the warm water to come through and the same with all the other taps. The TV no guide to help! we had a lot of difficulty trying to get the TV to work. The outside of the property needs weeding and the back garden is over grown. The parking is very difficult."
