This detached house is very close to the coast in Dugort, on the ever-popular Achill Island, County Mayo and sleeps eight people over two floors in four bedrooms. Four bedrooms: 1 x ground floor double with en-suite bath, separate shower, basin and WC, 1 x double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x single, 1 x family room with 1 double and 1 single. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area (seats 6) and sitting area (seats 7) with open fire.

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and on the first floor there is one double bedroom with en-suite shower facilities, a single bedroom and a family room with one double and one single. Downstairs there is a cloakroom with a basin and a WC, as well as an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting room with an open fire. Outside you will find ample off road parking and a gravelled area to the front. Situated in a perfect environment for watersports enthusiasts and sun lovers alike, 6 Strand Cottages is the ideal base for an Irish adventure. The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

Oil central heating with open fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Saorview, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Gravelled area to front. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 4.5 miles, pub, coast and beach 5 mins walk.

At 57 square miles, Achill is the largest island of Ireland, and lies off the west coast, in County Mayo. The island is linked to the mainland by the Michael Davitt Bridge, making it easily accessible. Boasting five Blue Flag beaches, Achill has some of the most beautiful, secluded, remote beaches in Ireland, but water sports are always easy to find.

"House is just lovely... all amenities as on the website. It was spotlessly clean and thanks to Orla a beautiful fire greeted us on Saturday night. It was warm and cosy and sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. Lovely quiet estate. The beach is called dogurt and its 5 min walk and it's a beautiful beach ...we were on it for the full week. Life guards are operating on it too. Beautiful walks along beach at sunset...wonderful. Lovely restaurants in close proximity and all in all a lovely quiet part of achill to stay in. We really enjoyed it. We will definitely book here again next year. If had a gripe ....it would be to have a tea pot in the kitchen."
