Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1 mins walk, pub 1.5 miles. Note: Stacker bed is suitable for an adult.

The historic market town of Chesterfield acts as the gateway to the Peak District, and has much to offer visitors. The town is famous for its 14th Century church with "Crooked Spire", twisting curiously from its true centre, while the frequent bustling market days are ideal for exploring the many different specialist shops and stalls which line the old Market Hall and charming Shambles beyond. The town also boasts Queens Park, with its boating lake, walks and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre. An interesting base for a break exploring the Peak District.

"The back garden is large and totally dog proof, so you can relax. There is a utility area for towelling down and feeding dogs. The inside of the house is dated but really comfortable, roomy and well equipped. There is lots to do in the local area and some nice dog-friendly pubs. We had a great time and would recommend. Good value for money."
"Lovely cottage in a great location. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable, it had everything we needed. We went with a baby and 2 dogs and had a great stay. The garden was amazing for the dogs, fenced in and secure. A place to return to. Highly recommend for comfort, cleanliness and location."
"If you are looking to stay close to the Peak district then look no further. Our family (five adults) stayed for a number of nights and found this property very comfortable. This cottage had everything you could wish for including good wi-fi (much to the joy of my children!). The place was spotlessly clean and very well presented. Plenty of car parking space and near the village shop. The central heating made the rooms feel very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. A lovely welcome from the owner which made us feel most welcome."
