The attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. It is a charming place, full of Yorkshire character, and is the centre for the local farms and villages. Visitors will find a variety of shops from tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to antique shops, while there is a market day on Wednesday.

"A very well appointed cottage, comfortable, spacious and well decorated. We were able to take our dog out for lovely walks straight on to the moor. There are so many interesting places to visit close by including Helmsley, Castle Howard, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Railway. And lots of great places and pubs! The owners are on hand for any advice on walks and the best pub grub! All in all a highly recommended cottage and area to visit."
