Outside, there is off road parking for two cars and a front patio with furniture. The Byre is a wonderful base for your holiday.

Electric heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, slimline dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Storage for cycles. Front patio with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: There is an electric fence adjoining the access to the dog walking area, ensure children and dogs are supervised and care is taken.

The small, rural village of Ashover is peacefully situated in the Amber Valley, just five miles from Matlock. The village affords a 9-hole golf course and several good pubs, including the Crispin Inn, renowned as one of the oldest pubs in the Peak District. The county town of Matlock, famous for its warm springs, offers a host of fine eating places, good shops and an interesting museum.

"I stayed here for the last 2 nights with my husband and our dog. The cottage is next door to the owners home and also has an adjoining cottage. It is very cosy and in a good location. Only 20minutes in the car from bakewell and 10 from Matlock. There is a lovely walk through some woods and across a few fields which offers amazing views. The cottage has all the facilities you would need with a good sized/modern bathroom and headroom. There is a small area behind the cottages to take your dog in the morning/at night. The homemade cakes left for us by the owner was a lovely touch. "
