This is a splendid first floor conversion in a Grade II listed coach house perched on a hill, just 0.7 miles from Lydney and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. All first floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with gas fire.

Outside there is off road parking for two cars, shared gardens featuring four unfenced ponds, and a private outdoor sitting area with furniture. Stable Apartment is a lovely holiday base. Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.

Electric storage heaters with gas fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Secure bike storage. Shared gardens with four ponds, and private seating area with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Note: Property accessed by external stone staircase and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Note: Steep bank leads to heathland at back of gardens, and ponds are unfenced. Children to be supervised.

Lydney is a small thriving town set between the River Severn and the eastern side of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. The town boasts a good selection of shops, sports facilities and leisure facilities and there are also over 30 cafes, restaurants and shops.

"Stayed as a family with our dog in the summer holidays, the apartment is well equipped and feels very airy whilst being homely. It made a great base to explore the forest of Dean and surrounding areas. Lydney town is a short walk down the hill whilst the harbour is a short drive (or catch the steam train). Michael was very helpful and made us feel at home."
"Our stay at The Stable Apartment in Highbury House has been wonderful. Michael, the owner, has been really helpful when we've needed him. The place is beautifully furnished, very homely with nice decorative touches here and there. It was spotlessly clean and tidy when we arrived, and has been a comfortable base for our family holiday. There is plenty of storage space, a fully equipped kitchen, and the beds are extremely comfortable, with very good quality linen. The location itself is wonderful, far enough away from the main town to feel quite secluded but with a tesco located conveniently close. It's also very close to lots of family attractions, which have made this holiday very special. My only worry was the lack of pavement on the main road outside the property, which made it difficult to walk from Highbury House to the town centre with a pushchair. Overall we're very happy with our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends, and if we ever come to the Forest of Dean again, this would be our first choice."
