Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. "We stayed at Fowey cottage for two weeks whilst visiting Torquay. It is a good base for exploring we had days out in Paignton, Brixham, Exeter,Totnes and Dartmouth. We found the beaches limited in Torquay mainly due to the tides and pebbles so our days out at the beach were mainly on Goodrington sands in Paignton. The cottage looks good on the photos but close up inside it does need some attention. The area for most attention would be the bathroom with its terrible shower curtain and water that seems to change temperature whilst in the shower."
