This quality single-storey cottage near Coniston overlooks Coniston Water and sleeps fourteen people in six bedrooms. All ground floor. Six bedrooms with TVs: 2 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin with en-suite shower, basin and WC. 1 x family room with 1 double and 1 single with en-suite bath, shower over, basin and WC, 1 x family room with 1 double and 1 single. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area (seats 8). Dining room. Sitting room with woodburning stove. Entrance hall with drying area.
Browside is a detached, single-storey cottage with superb views towards Coniston Water. The cottage has six bedrooms, two king-size doubles, one double, one twin, and two family rooms, five of which have en-suites. There is also a family bathroom, along with a kitchen with dining area, separate dining room, and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is ample off road parking, and an enclosed garden with furniture, hot tub and a bbq. Browside makes a great family base for enjoying the walking and scenery of this beautiful area. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating water sports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Nestling at the head of Coniston Water, the pretty village of Coniston is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park and makes a superb base for touring, with Hawkshead, Ambleside and Windermere just a short drive away. Superb walking, mountain biking and climbing is available locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, and the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. For water sports enthusiasts the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola'.

"We couldn't have asked for more. Browside had everything that we needed; the rooms were spacious so our group never felt on top of eachother & the views were amazing. It is in a great location with the shops only a short walk/drive away & not too far from other places to visit. The hot tub was an absolute bonus overlooking fields with sheep! I would highly recommend this to anyone as I am absolutely certain you'll have a pleasurable stay as we certainly didn't want to leave!!"

"We have just returned from a week at this house. Four generations of the family attended making a party of 11. The house was perfect providing great space for family social time, but also providing privacy and quietness through well equipped en-suite bedrooms for those times when you wanted to have a little time relaxing on your own. The owners live next door and have achieved the perfect balance of being there if you need them but not intruding on your stay. The views from the windows are stunning and you are perfectly placed to explore the southern lakes."
