The property sleeps four people and has two double bedrooms both with en-suite showers. Also in the cottage are an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for three cars and a patio with furniture. Situated in the southeast of Ireland, The Stone House is a lovely family base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country. Towering cliffs stand next to vast stretches of golden sand, whilst vast mountain ranges cradle cool, low-lying lakes. The Galway region epitomises the term 'great outdoors'; with fantastic walking and cycling and exhilarating water sports.

Loughrea is located southeast of Galway City on the northern shore of Lough Rea. The medieval town centre plays host to several shops and pubs, as well as an 18-hole golf course and a lake, renowned for its fishing.

"We stayed here for our minimoon and had the best time ! The cottage was clean, spacious and in a great location. There was a fabulous outdoor area for us to sit in the sunshine. The owners were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. We were in a great location to do lots of touring, Galway city is beautiful! We will definitely be back again !"
"A beautiful cottage, very well equipped.The very friendly owner, came out as soon as we arrived in spite of the rain.Any problems we had (not many)were soon sorted out. The fields around the cottage made good safe walking for our dog, and also great walks in local forest and by the lough . Plenty of places to visit both nearby and further afield. Would recommend this cottage, and hope to visit again. "
"Great comfortable cottage, 2 spacious bedrooms both en-suit, just 2 miles from the Louch and 3 miles from the Lochrea town Owners could not have been more friendly and helpful, warm and welcoming Everything provided for, tea, coffee, iron, hairdryer, towels etc radio and tv, Lizzie and Rocky the two dogs had a safe are at the back of the cottage to wnder in and a huge field on the property to run in Lovely walks in the lanes or a short drive to Long Point on the Louch, there is a shallow area perfect for young children to play around in and a deep water area with shelves and steps for proper swimming, the water is so clear you can see the bottom there is plenty of car parking, picnic tables. loos and even cold water showers A short drive into Louchrea and you will find plenty of shops bars and restaurants and a warm welcome from all Thanks Dympna and PJ"
