This semi-detached cottage is located on the owner's farm in Stamford Bridge near to York and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite bath, basin and WC, 1 x ground floor twin (zip/link, can be super king-size double on request) with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Set in beautiful countryside and with plenty of touring opportunities, Barn Owl Cottage is a superb holiday home all year round. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Bike shed. Decked patio with furniture and hot tub. Communal grounds with fishing pond and seating. Please note: No stag or hen or similar. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: Occasional road noise may be heard.

Stamford Bridge was a fording point over the River Derwent for a Roman settlement, but nowadays is a town with a selection of shops and restaurants. The village is the site of the Battle of Stamford Bridge on 25 September 1066, which marked the end of the Viking era in Britain.

Immaculate accommodation, have stayed in 2 properties on site - Knightingale & Bar Owl which are both immaculate properties with nothing to fault.. family owned with a fantastic welcome pack. Family do not bother you while there, when you do see them are super friendly. Would highly recommend, can't wait for next visit."
"Our first impression of the barn was wow, what a stunningly beautiful building this was. Becky met us on arrival and gave us a quick tour of the barn we were staying in with further information. They were so helpful. They also left us a welcome pack of some goodies to keep us going until we got to the shops as well as leaving our two daughters a little Christmas gift each under the tree. Yes, they had decorated the barn for us too!! The barn is imacculate, very clean and the granite in the kitchen has the wow factor. It has everything you need (except your own food). Th hot tub was amazing too. Star gazing at night was the perfect end to the day and our eldest daughter loved it. We definitely recommend it here, location is fab with a 15 minute drive from York. The barn is in a very secure setting with barriers to get in and out using the key provided. Ken, one of the owners even helped us to defrost our car when leaving and helped to spray anti freeze on our windows whilst we sat in the car with the heating on. A fantastic Christmas break away!! Thank you :)"
