The Byre is a stylish and attractive barn conversion, set close to the Exmoor National Park, on a hill farm 2.5 miles from Combe Martin. There are two lovely bedrooms, a double and a twin, and a family bathroom. Downstairs is a fitted kitchen, and a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Outside, wonderful views can be enjoyed from the garden and terrace area, ideal for alfresco dining. There is off road parking for one car. With the coast at Combe Martin just 2.5 miles away, and the delights of Exmoor on the doorstep, The Byre makes a quality and comfortable retreat throughout the year. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed lawned rear garden with terrace, furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2.5 miles.

Located on the border between Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the picturesque settlement of Combe Martin. This little seaside resort, with a wide variety of amenities, is a great attraction for locals and visitors, and is home to a very popular beach. Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple are all within easy reach. There are also numerous National Trust properties and gardens close by, offering unique insights into local history. Woolacombe beach is close by and is an excellent place for surfing, whilst the South West coastal path passes within a mile for those who love rambling.

"We stayed here for a week with a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old. The setting is absolutely stunning, surrounded by unspoilt countryside. The owners, Mike and Nicola were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They showed the children the lambs in the barn, let us name their new chickens and gave us fresh eggs! The location is superb - a great base to explore the local area (Combe Martin, Ilfracombe, Linton/Linmouth etc) and Mike and Nicola gave lots of great tips too. The cottage is perfectly appointed and child-friendly (including cot, stair gate, high chair). The children adored the stay here and we did too - peaceful and relaxing. (Only point to note is that access is down a long bumpy track, so best not arrive in a Ferrari if you were planning to..!)"
"A lovely holiday in peaceful and beautiful Exmoor. Ideally situated with fabulous views, the coast inky a short drive away. Very comfortable cottage, friendly owners and a cream tea to welcome us on arrival. Loved everything about this cottage and love the area."
