Apple Tree Cottage is a traditional, stone-built, semi-detached cottage situated one mile from Troutbeck Bridge, and close to Lake Windermere and the towns of Ambleside and Windermere. This cottage sleeps two people in a double bedroom. The cottage also has a shower room, and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is off-road parking for one car, private patios and shared use of lawned areas. Apple Tree Cottage is an ideal romantic base for walks, watersports and visiting the many attractions that can be found in the area. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Gas central heating. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, Smart TV with FreeSat, Blu-Ray DVD, DAB radio and CD player. WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Lockable bike storage. Off-road parking for 1 car directly outside the cottage, plus communal car park opposite property. Patios, plus shared use of lawned areas. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: There is a shared footpath to the side of the property which leads to shared lawned areas. Note: Babes-in-arms only.

The small village of Troutbeck Bridge is situated between Windermere and Ambleside in the Lake District National Park. The village offers a leisure centre and a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food, plus Ambleside and Windermere offer shops, pubs and cafes. Lake Windermere is also close by and boasts a range of lakeside activities, including trips to the famous Aquarium and the renowned Grizedale Forest Park.

"Set off the main road down a shared lane-cum-driveway the cottage is part of a cluster of similar characterful holiday accommodation on the property. The lounge has a double aspect so nice and light. It was always quiet, and the overnight heating meant it was always comfortable. Parking is right outside the front door and as it's all on one level very convenient for luggage. Well-equipped kitchen, some DVDs were supplied, heated towel rails (luxury!). Clean and tidy, nice decor and comfy bed. Holiday home away from home. The welcome bottle of both beer and wine was much appreciated on a very hot August day. The Pubs in Troutbeck are well worth visiting both for their food and beer gardens with great views. All in all a handy base to explore the Lake District which was absolutely stunning."
