Aberdaron is situated around two streams facing the sea, with cafes, shops, and hotels, along with the church of St Hywyn. On each side of the river's mouth is the beach for walking and playing on, and a promenade where you can watch the sailing boats and regattas in the bay. There is also a National Trust visitor centre and car park. The popular resorts of Pwllheli and Abersoch are within easy reach, as well as the Snowdonia National Park.

"The cottage is lovely and the location is a very short distance from the coastal path, so there are interesting walks to be had from the front door. The nearby beach is also lovely (but there are quite a lot of steps down!). Having a hot tub to relax in after a day's walking is a treat. Aberdaron is a two and a half mile walk away, or a short drive."
