Charnwood is a traditional Lakeland Stone Cottage just off the centre of bustling Windermere Village. The house sleeps four people and has a double and twin bedroom. Over three floors, the cottage has a large kitchen with range style cooker, separate sitting and dining room and a suntrap patio garden. With parking for two cars and a short walk to pubs, restaurants and local shops, Charnwood is ideal for those wanting to leave the car behind. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Wifi. Fuel and power included in rent, bed linen included in rent. Cot and Highchair available. I private parking space plus 1 parking permit. Enclosed rear yard with garden furniture. Sorry no pets or smoking. Shop and Pub 5 minutes walk. Lake 1.5 miles.

A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside.

"We booked to stay here for 3 nights for our first trip to Windermere. We found the house to be very basic and compared to other holiday cottages we have stayed in it was very cold and uninviting. It was not the cosy cottage we could look forward to coming back to after a day out, and certainly didn't have the home from home feel we have got from other places. We diskliked it so much we decided to come home a day early as we didn't want to stay an extra night. The location is good,right in the centre of windermere but that was the only benefit. We will definitely return to the lakes again but will look for accommodation elsewhere."
"Stayed a week in August 2015.if your looking for first class accomodation look no further.comfy beds,first class kitchen with everything you could wish for.The added bonus of on street parking permit plus your own space at the rear.Its over three floors,not a problem for us ,but maybe if you struggle with stairs.The bedrooms are plenty big enough,with loads of storage space.This is one one the best ive stayed at.Windermere with all its shops are at the end of the road.Cant fault it......get it booked..."
