Glen Cottage is a comfortable spacious cottage with period charm and contemporary style. Ideal for a couple, and their dogs, there's a king-sized double bedroom with spectacular views over Great Mell Fell. The cottage has a comfortable living room with feature beams and log burner, a sun room where you can eat and enjoy those great views and a fully equipped kitchen. There's a luxurious shower room and a large porch to store all your outdoor gear. Outside there's a delightful walled garden and a fully enclosed field where your dogs can run in complete safety. Close to Ullswater and the ideal jumping off point to explore the North Lakes in any season, Glen Cottage is the ideal romantic Lake District bolt hole at any time of year. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Bed linen and towels provided. Travel Cot and highchair available. Off road parking for 1 car. Walled garden with furniture, shared lawn. Enclosed nearby field for dogs running free. Pub 1 mile away, Cycling trails on the doorstep, hiking trails nearby. Sorry, no smoking. NB: This property is adjoined to other cottages in this barn conversion.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

"Booked the cottage with Skye Cottages thinking it was nice and quiet for ourselves and pet dog, however there is an adjacent cottage and all four bedrooms are above your cottage. The noise is terrible, came home four days early and the family next door apologised due to the noise, would not recommend and would not return. We have stayed at many cottages with Skyes and never had an issue."
