This charming former coastguard cottage sits just above the beach at Downderry, and can sleep six people in four bedrooms. All on one floor. Four bedrooms: 2 x double (one with en-suite bath, shower cubicle, basin and WC), 1 x twin with basin, 1 x single (walk through to a double). Bathroom with walk in shower, basin and WC. Laundry room. Sitting room with dining area. Kitchen.
Watchtower is a charming former coastguard cottage, situated just above the beach at Downderry. The cottage sleeps six people and has two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom), a twin room, a single room and a family bathroom. There is also a kitchen, laundry room and sitting room with dining area. Outside is a lovely lawned garden with fantastic sea views and outdoor furniture, plus off road parking for either two small cars or one medium car. Located just above the beach and within walking distance of the village centre, Watchtower is the perfect choice for those seeking a traditional seaside holiday. Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and high chair available. Off road parking for 2 small cars/1 medium car. Enclosed garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 3 mins walk. Beach at the end of the garden.

Downderry is a small quiet coastal village situated in south east Cornwall. Downderry has a sheltered beach, Post Office and shop, deli, and a cliff top pub and an excellent restaurant, serving quality local food. At low tide it is possible to walk along the beach from Downderry to Seaton, where you will find a family friendly south facing beach and the nearby Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature reserve is home to wildlife, including otters and kingfishers and also offers great cycling and walking opportunities. The picturesque working harbours at Looe and Polperro are within an easy driving distance away, and the wonderful stretches of the South West Coast Path in this part of Cornwall take you to rocky coves, dramatic headlands and tales of shipwrecks and smugglers. Further afield is Plymouth, where you will find plenty to see and do, including a marine aquarium, a theatre, large shopping centres and the historic Barbican waterside area.

"Beautifully equipped cottage but still retaining it's old world charm. Very well laid out with all you could want. Great base for touring or just to sit and read overlooking the sea and enjoy complete down time. Ideal for children with beach so near and the lawn so spacious and secure for little ones to scramble around. Have visited this cottage many times, in the past and always loved it.......... Local shops have everything you need, so no necessity to go further afield unless you ant to."
