There is roadside parking at the front of the property on a first come, first served basis and additional parking can be found in a free car park at the rear. Dodshon Place is the perfect bolt hole for exploring all that Lancaster and its surrounding area has to offer. The North West of England has something for every discerning traveller. Whether it is the fabulous sandy beaches of its famous seaside resorts or the historic backdrop of some of the country's oldest cities, it has something for everyone.

Electric storage heaters. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Sky Q, DVD, CD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking at the front on a first come, first served basis, additional parking to the rear pay and display. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and city centre 5 mins walk, pub next door. Restaurant 1 min walk. Note: There's no garden at this property. Note: Property only accessed via stairs, there's no lift. Note: Sloping ceilings in kitchen and sitting room. Note: Apartment next to the River Lune, children and dogs must be supervised at all times.

"Easy to find great location, large bedrooms, clean bathroom, great lounge area, easily accommodated 4 adults for a weekend break, loved the generous touch of wine & cheese which were greatly appreciated by all, easily can walk to anywhere in a shirt time, lovely restaurants and bars, great food market & shops, really enjoyed the weekend, Would highly recommend"
"We find a very dirty property! She entrance was smelling horrible. On the furniture and floor a lot of dust. The bathroom terrible dirty, hair from other tourists allover.The windows very dirty as well. When we arrived, at 17:00, the beds were not changed. The carpets were not cleaned from many, many month. In the kitchen everything was dirty and the door of the frige couldn't be closed. A real desaster!!!"
"What a lovely place to stay. You are always wary wondering if the photos of the property are an accurate reflection. They were, the apartment is clean, the location is excellent being close to restaurants suiting all wallets. An ideal staging point for the lake district, Morecambe and the trough of Bowland. On arrival we were greeted with cheese, biscuits and wine, a lovely gesture. The owner is extremely helpful and knows the area well. His recommendations were spot on. Would we recommend to friends, definitely, would stay again yes."
"This is such a lovely place to stay! Quirky and unique, the accommodation is set over two floors at the top of the building and is tastefully decorated in a nautical theme echoing the history of the building. We arrived cold and tired after a long journey to find the heating and lamps had been turned on to welcome us, and the cheese, wine, and biscuits left on the table for us was a lovely additional touch; - there was even a tin of dog food and bowl to welcome any canine visitors! (and a poo bag!) It was very clean and well-equipped, and the sitting room and bedrooms were very comfortable. The view over the river was a bonus. The location is really good, with a 5 minute walk into Lancaster and plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. It was perfect for us, and we will definitely be visiting Dodshon Place again."

"Had the pleasure of staying at Dodshon Place, Lancaster recently, A charming apartment overlooking the River Lune the building dates back to the 18th century, The apartment is spacious well equipped set over two levels in a great location for the local pubs and restaurants. Superb views over the river Steve the owner is a mine of local information and had some great tips on where to eat and how to travel further afield, don't be afraid to ask him. Within easy reach of the coast, the Forest of Bowland and The Lake District National Park. Great break, would heartily recommend. Five Stars."
"We were lucky enough to have the apartment for October half term. It was based great for the three mariners and George and dragon. We enjoy real ale so perfect and the boys got a lot of space to play on the back field. We used it as a base when not exploring Lancaster. The apartment was a pleasant surprise. Quite a few steps going up but worth it. We've always stayed in hotels in city breaks but was nice to have our own space. The children enjoyed it as well. The apartment was clean and well stocked and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. Looking forward to staying with friends next time. "
