This delightful, three-storey cottage in Mevagissey sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Over three floors. Two bedrooms: 1 x super king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request), 1 x second floor king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner.
Backlet Cottage, set in the heart of pretty Mevagissey, Cornwall, offers comfortable accommodation across three floors. With two bedrooms, one a first floor king-size double and the other a second floor super king-size double with en-suite, the property can sleep up to four people. There's also an open plan living area on the ground floor with kitchen, dining area and sitting area offering a woodburner. Backlet Cottage sits just a stone's throw from the quaint winding streets of Mevagissey and its many amenities. Facilities & Amenities
Electric central heating with woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Parking permit for 1 car provided for Willow car park. Visitors are able to pull up outside of the property for a short period to unload and load their car, but should be aware the road is narrow and there is a tight corner to get back on to the main street, which is one-way. Stone bench at front of cottage. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Beach 5 mins walk.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

"I stayed here with my girlfriend and our pet a couple of months ago and I was just coming back on here to see if we could book again, when I saw a review below which I couldn't believe and I just have to set the story straight! "Death trap" is absolutely hilarious, the girlfriend nearly fell off her chair having read it, we're both gobsmacked. This is the most quaint, beautifully positioned cottage in the whole of mevagissey im sure :) a lovely fireplace (surrounded by stone might I add... so not a death trap...). The owners were lovely and nothing but accommodating, the cottage was clean and well furnished and we really cannot wait to go back. The cottage, the locals, the bars and restaurants, the harbour, one of the best UK holidays we've had in a while :) My advice on the 1 star reviews is take a look at every other review they've written. Out of interest I took a gander through their other reviews and amazed to see They've 1 starred everyone. People playing the system looking for something for free and there's nothing that boils my blood more than to see people do that at perfectly honest people's expense. I look forward to visiting again, we missed visiting salamander last time so we're due another visit ;) "
"As there is no rear door - the only escape route is front door. The front door's lock has jammed many times and could not be opened. If you one is disabled this is a death trap! I doubt if any insurance company would insure this place for visiting guests. Has it been vetted by the fire department? While on the surface the cottage looks clean - it is actually a dirty place. We have photographic evidence to show the same. The owner seems to be unreasonable. Go at your own risk"
"Beautiful modern tastefully decorated clean homely cottage in a perfectly convenient location to the harbour and all amenities. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean living, kitchen and bathrooms. Would highly recommend and will most definitely be staying there again. 5 star accommodation."
"Backlet cottage is absolutely beautiful, we stayed with friends for a week in August. It is situated within walking distance of the harbour which was great as two of our party went fishing everyday. We can't recommend this property highly enough, SUPERB, and we will be booking again for next year!!!!!"
"Lovely modern, super clean cottage where no expense has been spared on design, comfort and fixtures and fittings. Beautifully decorated, perfect location right in the heart of Mevagissey. Please note, no garden or courtyard so you will need to walk your pet quite a distance to find grass (our little dog will only wee on grass!) bless her Great having a bathroom on each floor, the beds were the most comfiest I've ever slept on! Quality throughout. "
"Mavagissey is a charming Cornish village and Backlet Cottage is equally charming. It is right in the heart of the village which has some great pubs, delightful shopping and the Cornish Bakery with its friendly man behind the counter is one of many spots to check out. We really appreciated the fact that there was parking available just around the corner because finding parking could be a nightmare otherwise. You need to be able to cope with stairs at Backlet Cottage because the house is on three levels. It's ideal for two couples but probably not really suitable for children because it is quite small. Nevertheless the cottage is well equipped and we enjoyed our stay."
