Sutherlands Drift is a fabulous, detached, 19th century barn conversion cottage situated on a 400-acre working arable farm in the quiet village of Kynnersley, near Lilleshall. Set solely over the first floor, with ramped access to the rear, the cottage offers a master super king-size double room with a TV and an en-suite shower room. There are also two twin rooms, a family bathroom, and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area, and sitting area boasting a woodburning stove. Outside, there is off road parking for three cars and a large, lawned garden with a patio, furniture, barbecue, and a children's play house. Sutherlands Drift is a wonderful base for exploring Shropshire, all year round. A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

"Since having kids we've visited many self catering cottages and are often a bit underwhelmed with properties that fail to live up to the descriptions or images. Sutherlands Drift is just the opposite. Its a wonderful spot which the images online don't do justice. The garden is lovely and has views to die for a summers evening. We found the owners extremely helpful and hospitable and the 'cottage' comfortable and warm. We have recommend this to all our friends and hope to return soon."
"We stayed hear in the depths of winter but had a wonderful time. This is a beautiful barn conversion on a working farm. The property is spacious and pleasant with and the owners were extremely welcoming and even took our children to collect eggs and feed the chickens! Though not obvious from the images there are great views from the property over towards the south Shropshire hills and I imagine it is very beautiful and peaceful in the summer. Thanks for a great stay - we will definitely return."
