This detached cottage is located near to the Welsh village of Llanbister and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. Three bedrooms: 1 x double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x double, 1 x twin. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. External sun room. External utility. Games room with small pool table & table tennis table.
White Walls is a detached cottage on a working farm near to the village of Llanbister in Mid Wales. The cottage sleeps six people and has two double bedrooms (one with an ensuite) and a single with a pull out bed as well as a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside is plenty of off road parking and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture and hot tub. Set on a 600 acre working farm, White Walls is a superb cottage for discovering the stunning Welsh countryside. Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Llanbister is a village which nestles in the Powys countryside between the market towns of Llandrindod Wells and Newtown, as well as being just a short distance from Herefordshire and Shropshire.

"We are on our way home from our second visit to White Walls Barn. We just loved it again. Amazing cottage/barn in a simply stunning setting. This time around we were looking for total relaxation and we weren't disappointed and we spent a lot of time just walking the surrounding area and chilling out on site. The cottage/barn is fabulous, welcoming and warm and although we didn't really need it the wood burner added to the ambience. We relaxed from the moment we walked in and of course the hot tub helped. With endless walks on the doorstep our beagle had a ball. I cannot give enough praise for White Walls Barn and we will definitely be back!"
"Beautiful peaceful location, safe enclosed garden if taking pets, our 2 dogs loved it and totally chilled out.Lovely hot tub although cold on the first night. Very remote could benefit from a pay to use landline if only for emergencies(bit of a worry if accident/fire or someone's taken ill) as no internet or phone signal available (owner provides a mobile number ???) Its a good 5 minutes plus (dependent on how fit you are )walk to the top of the hill to find a signal and the phone box has no phone in it. Struggled to use oven and other appliances a manual would have been a great help. Some parts off the cottage in need of TLC ie outside games rooms. Also no wood for the fire as mentioned both on Sykes cottages and the owners website. TV/DVD/PlayStation bit of a pain as have to fiddle about with one scart lead at the back of the TV for 2 appliances needs up dating (I'm not very tech savy). Some sort of light needed at the back luckily we took our own torch as its a short walk along the path to the hot tub."
"We are now on our 4th visit. Came in October 2018 but forgot to review. Love this place it really feels like a home from home. Comfortable as always and has everything you need. Hot tub is wonderful and makes it more of a relaxing stay. Certainly don't miss phone or 4G signal during our stays. I hope it always remains 'off grid' in that respect as technology would spoil the stay. Enjoyed playing ping pong, certainly wouldn't have given Forrest Gump a challenge but we did ok. Definitely be back "
"A gorgeous, secluded cottage with plenty of space. We took 3 dogs and they loved the huge garden and long walks as the owner kindly lets you use her land. Property is well equipped with a fully functioning kitchen and they have stocked the place well with board games, books, dvds and PlayStation 2 games. The hot tub is amazing, we used this every night. The owner is lovely, she came not long after we arrived to welcome us but after that we were left to our own privacy. She is not far away should you need anything but we managed just fine the 4 days we were there. There are plenty of heaters in each room which warm up quickly and they provide towels and a hairdryer. Only other points is that it could do with better directions to get there as you get no signal so it's hard to update the maps and we got lost in the process. And there isn't much light in the garden when it gets dark so you need a torch/phone light to walk back and fore the hot tub safely. There are also kebab shops, an Indian and a Tesco/Aldi about 15/20 mins away from the cottage. All in all, we had a lovely time and will definitely be looking at going back."
"This is the second time we have visited White walls and not disappointed at all. White Walls is situated close to Llanbister and is very rural and away from it all. No Wi-Fi which is great and no phone signal either so perfect for a tech free retreat, you actually speak to each other, read and play board games. Plenty to do both at the cottage and locally. Cottage has everything and it's clean, warm and comfortable. Only criticism would be lack of clear instructions for the hot tub. Once sorted that out the hot tub is perfect for a relaxing break away. Will definitely be back."
"Booked a week away hoping for peace and relaxation and that's exactly what we got. Beautiful cottage, very homely, gorgeous views. Excellent price for such a wonderful week away. Don't get phone signal and no wifi but it's perfect, the pictures need updating cause they don't do the place justice. Can't wait to book it again next year."
"My family & I visited White Walls for a 5 night break, it was something that we were all looking forward to, and it did not disappoint! We were 3 couples & 4 small dogs between us. The barn itself was immaculate,and furnished nicely! We all loved the woodburner in the living room,very cosy! The kitchen had everything you could think of, and added bonus of a dishwasher too! As for the amenities, the hot tub & ping pong table were well used during our stay and all the board games aswell! The barn is surrounded by fields with sheep, and it was lovely hearing owls in the trees at night time! There is absolutely no phone signal at the barn, but once we walked back up the road a bit then our phones did pick up an intermittent signal, but we all found it quite nice actually to not be on our phones all the time and spend time together. We would definitely recommend white walls to anyone looking for peace & quiet and a relaxing break away! The Phillips family x "
"This place is completely cut off from Daily life. There are lovely walks around the cottage and lovely scenes with rolling hills. There is no communication even mobiles don't work here and certainly no wifi which isn't a bad thing in this day and age The cottage was clean and well presented with a Hot tub and small make shift gym. The cottages faciliti s were good and organised DVD, X box, TV and Sateilltte TV free view The only issue we had was flies, tens of them every time we opened a window. The owners didn't come down to see us during our stay as promised but we didn't actually need them too."
"a wonderful place ... a massive lawn enclosed garden perfect for dogs and children... house is lovely.. hot tub is great ... just a relax as soon as you arrive Hot tub is fantastic... once gets to temp had to work out controls but great once did... Hot tub towels ARE provided so no need to take some.. please be aware there is NO MOBILE OR WIFI signal at all... which is great as we wanted totally chill out.. but can see would bother some... cottage is great ..clean tidy and warm and cosy on the chilly nights... photos are well out of date and need updating.. ie... tree is gone and garden is twice the size.. internal pics too.. would go back anytime...LOVED IT !!!!"

"Beautiful.. The farm itself is superb, the hosts were so, so nice and helpful. Nothing was a trouble to them. We toured the farm with the farmer, with a mass of helpful information and a once in a lifetime chance to watch lambs being born. The house is first class, all the mod cons, everything you could need and more. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and very well maintained. BUT.... It still manages to be a quiet spot in a perfect location, away from it all, but still within a couple of miles of civilisation."
