Ilfracombe is a town resting within North Devon, just 11 miles from Barnstaple. Within close reach of this town are five glorious beaches which are owned by the National Trust, as well as the Exmoor National Park with its countryside setting and quaint villages to explore. Here, you will find a selection of pubs, shops, restaurants, and attractions including a wildlife cruise and fishing trips.

"We booked this cottage from 30th Dec-2nd Jan Mel & her husband, me, my husband and 2 dogs. The cottage looked lovely on arrival but inside was even lovelier. Beautifully decorated, very well appointed with everything you could need was thought of, fab log burner and underfloor heating so was very warm and cosy. All 3 of the bedrooms are a really good size though we only used the 2 with en-suite bathrooms. If you have children or even as adults there were plenty of games for those rainy days and a choice of dvd's too (not that we used any of them). You can literally see the sign for the pub from the front door which we fully made use of ....... well it was new year after all!!! The pub is very friendly and does some nice food aswell and we also found the locals on New Years Eve to be very welcoming and friendly. Would have no hesitation in rebooking this again but may try a different season next time for a change. I would say if you have a small dog the five bar gate may not be sufficient but that's a very trivial point in the general scheme of the whole property."
