The east Norfolk coastal village of Scratby is ideal for a traditional seaside family holiday or for exploring the Norfolk Broads. Scratby is one of the quieter resorts along this stretch of unspoilt sandy coastline. Close by are many other pretty coastal villages for you to explore, some offering traditional seaside attraction and others ideal for relaxing, sunbathing, cycling or walking. Scratby has a village pub, shops and restaurants all within reasonable walking distance. Nearby, Great Yarmouth offers family fun-filled days with candyfloss stalls, amusement arcades, funfair rides, sea life sanctuary, Esplanade gardens, theatre, pitch-and-putt, bowls, golfing, indoor swimming pool and good shopping facilities including a traditional market. For an alternative day out, hire a day cruiser on the Norfolk Broads and experience the wonderful scenery, along with its wildlife and a riverside pub lunch. Within easy reach is the city of Norwich with two cathedrals, castle, museums and galleries, along with excellent shopping and restaurants.

"Yes it does have the WOW Factor! Beautifully furnished, clean all round, comfy beds and a well tended garden with decking and seating. Denise & Trevor make you feel so welcome and leave treats in the fridge and in the kitchen. They have thought of everything .. baths for soaking, walk in shower for the less mobile, sun loungers and shady areas in the garden, baby changing facilities, plenty of equipment in the kitchen, TV's, google virtual assistant ...... the list goes on and on. The house has plenty of room for 8 people with lots of parking, the street is really quiet and off the beaten track but no so far that you are out in the sticks. Beach less than 5 mins walk, bar/restaurant, cafe, chippy, bakery all within 10 mins walk, shop a little further. 11/10"
"We had a chance to stay at Gla-Duna recently and had such a fantastic time. A fantastic escape.The property is maintained at a very high standard, with amazing rooms that had personal touches throughout. It is clear that the property owners poured their heart and soul into this property during development. There are clean and modern amenities throughout, with a huge garden and decking area that presented us with fantastic view out to the fields and natural landscape. It also had great facilities for our little one (the little play room was very quaint!). It was so quiet and relaxing, simply amazing. We had a few nights of dramatic sunsets, and we were not disappointed by all the birds that came to visit us each day. The beach was only a two minutes walk away. The beach was quiet, and stretched for mile after beautiful mile. Nicely located in proximity to the attractions of Great Yarmouth (only 10 minute drive on the days we went)--we were also close to other family venues such as Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens.Our family honestly enjoyed every moment. Thank you Denise and Trevor (and Gla-Duna family). Our family created fantastically amazing memories."
