Barnard Castle is a market town in Durham, England. Named after the towns famous medieval castle that was built somewhere between the 11th and 12th century. Within the town you will find a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants to suit all. "1 Teesdale Road had had no expense spared on its upgrade and extension providing a comfortable and welcoming holiday base to explore County Durham. From the bright and spacious kitchen leading into the extension living area. The beds are comfortable and it is very well equipped with top of the range appliances. Contact from the owner was first class even to the fact that we could arrive early if we wanted to. Barnard Castle is just over the river and has all the facilities you need. A visit to the Bowes Museum easily within walking distance on the edge of the town is a must. There is a great view of the castle from the garden. The only improvement would be the provision of mirrors in the bedrooms."
"A great welcome with coffee bags and freshly baked lemon cake and apple cake. The living area is light and roomy and you can hear the River Tees running a stones throw from the garden. The kitchen is well equipped which was handy as the kids did some baking. There are 3 loos too, so great for getting everyone out the house quickly. It has a quality feel and I would recommend 1 Teesdale Road wholeheartedly."
