Tenbury Wells is an ancient market town and civil parish in the Malvern Hills District of Worcestershire, which lies on the south bank of the River Teme. The history of Tenbury Wells extends as far back as the Iron Age. The town is often thought of as the home to the Castle Tump, but this is now in Burford, Shropshire due to boundary changes. Though the Tump, possibly the remains of an early Norman motte and bailey castle, there are no visible remains of the castle that was constructed to defend and control the original River Teme crossing.

"This is a really lovely, beautifully finished cottage. It has everything you could need for your stay and it all feels good quality - even to the extrent of luxury loo roll! The welcome basket was an unexpected bonus and a lovely touch. It is set back from a very quiet road so feels peaceful and secluded. The garden is great for kids to run around and there are a few extra items in the shed to play with. And the games room offers more still, especially if it is raining. The bbq was also very welcome for a sunny evening. From the cottage we did a few walks along the quiet roads and footpaths. My kids especially liked crossing the field opposite along the public footpath to the river and having a little paddle. We also enjoyed a trip to Go Ape at the Wyre Forest and Ludlow castle. All in all we had a lovely, peaceful stay. Would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit this area. "
