The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.

"Great stay. This former bank has been nicely decorated throughout and was a great base for a stay in the North Yorkshire Moors. Beds are a tad soft and both the living room and dining room only accommodate five. However a minor criticism "
"Just had a wonderful weeks family break in this lovely holiday cottage. Very cosy. The only issues we had staying here were the some of the beds were very uncomfortable, especially the double and the downstairs toilet moved and leaked, so we weren't able to use. We did report the issue with the toilet so hopefully that was sorted after we left the property today. This cottage is in a great location for many fantastic places to visit."
