Swallows Barn is a charming stone cottage positioned in the lovely hamlet of Mickleton, on the edges of the North Pennines AONB. It boasts four bedrooms; a king-size double with en-suite shower room, along with a double, a single daybed which becomes a double and a single, sleeping seven guests. It also plays host to a bathroom, kitchen/diner, dining room and sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is off-road parking for two cars in a shared courtyard opposite as well as an enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Swallows Barn offers a quality getaway in County Durham. From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric range cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire/stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 1 car. Shared courtyard. Patio and furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2.5 miles, pub 1 min walk. Property is suitable for a max of 6 adults as the rollout bed is only suitable for a child.

Mickleton is situated in the heart of Teesdale, close to the villages of Romaldkirk and Middleton-in-Teesdale. Mickleton harbours a cluster of stone houses along a single street with two pubs, one serving excellent food. The Pennine and Teesdale Ways are right on the doorstep providing lots of walking opportunities. There are also excellent cycling facilities in the dale and Hamsterley Forest.

"Lovely village location . On entering good boot room leading to very well equipped breakfast kitchen . Good quality cooker and equipment . Leading to large lounge with log burner and quality sofas . 4 bedrooms including king size en-suite with double and large bathroom . Very handy for the crown pub which is very nice . Parking a bit tight but we managed . Would recommend "
