Overview
This stylish wooden lodge is near to Wiveliscombe, Somerset and sleeps up to five people in three bedrooms. All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin, 1 x single. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.
The Old Quarry is a unique holiday home, close to historic, market town of Wiveliscombe on the edge of the stunning Exmoor National Park. This exquisite, detached, log cabin nestles in an almost magical location in its very own woodland area. Your only neighbours are birds, squirrels, a few inquisitive rabbits and the occasional deer. The Old Quarry has full heating and a woodburning stove, making it wonderfully warm and cosy all year round. The living space is smart and open plan and once inside, all on one level (a separate entrance to the cabin has a ramp for easy access). Three pretty bedrooms at the rear of the cabin share a family bathroom. On balmy summer evenings, the veranda is a perfect place to relax and watch the wildlife and there is also a picnic table, benches and a stone built BBQ. Somerset offers 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmer's' market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.

Electric heating, woodburning stove. Gas oven and hob, fridge, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for three cars. Veranda with furniture and a barbecue. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1/2 mile. Beach 15 miles. Note: On a pay-per-use basis, guests are able to use tennis courts and a local open-air heated swimming pool which is open seasonally (see www.wiveypool.net for details), so you will need to bring the necessary equipment and attire if you wish to take advantage of either of these opportunities

Wiveliscombe is a market town on the edge of Exmoor. The town has a selection of shops and eateries. Wivesliscombe is around half an hour away from some lovely beaches, and has good walking from the doorstep. Taunton is just 11 miles away, proving to be a wonderful day out many amenities and much to do, including the Museum of Somerset and the River Tone running through it to be admired.
