Yetminister is a quiet village dating back to the 17th century. The village church of St Andrews has a 300 year old faceless clock which chimes the national anthem six times a day. Yetminster is served by the White Hart public House and a village shop. The ancient town of Sherborne lies on the delightful banks of the River Yeo set amidst glorious unspoilt countryside and boasts many picturesque buildings, ancient Inns and quaint shops.

"My family decided to do something different over the Easter weekend this year, and hired a cottage for Easter 2019. Stumbled upon this farm cottage on the rental site. I can honestly say the welcome and facilities have been second to none. Real home from home feel. Very roomy and comfortable beds and bedrooms. Spotlessly clean and tidy. A welcome pack of milk butter and Easter eggs for my two children on arrival added to the wonderful reception from the owners. If you are looking for quiet countryside away from it all, walks , and good pubs then take this a recommendation. My children are 11 and 8 and loved it. Don't let it put you off from being 50 mins from the beaches of Lyme Regis. It's a lovely drive and across some of the best countryside you will ever see, and a takes you off the main roads which at peak times of the year can be very busy. Thomas Hardy village of Evershot is 5 miles away, and the pub is a must visit."
