Salisbury is a great visit for those who are interested in history, with 13th century cathedral a hotspot as well as Cathedral Close, which is home to some of the oldest houses in England. Bath is easily accessible from Salisbury too; only a 45 minute ride on a direct train journey from Salisbury Station, while the capital of Wessex, Winchester, and Jane Austin Country are close to the east. Britford itself has one of the oldest Saxon churches in the country.
