This beach hut style cottage is located in the village of Runswick Bay, near Staithes, and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. Over three floors. Three bedrooms: 1 x second floor family room with 3 single beds (note accessed by space saver fixed ladder only) 1 x first floor double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x first floor single (note second floor room can only be accessed via this room). First floor bathroom with bath, basin and WC (shower no longer functional). Open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.
Flamingo Cottage is a lovely detached cottage in an elevated position right on the beach in North Yorkshire. Hosting three bedrooms; a second floor family room with three single beds (accessed by space saver fixed ladder only), a first floor double with en-suite, and a first floor single (second floor room can only be accessed via this room), and a first floor bathroom, this property can sleep up to six people. Inside you will also find an open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. To the outside there is a public car park nearby (free off season) and drop off point to front of cottage, and an enclosed rear terraced garden and patio to front with furniture. Located in the historic fishing village of Runswick Bay, with much to explore, Flamingo Cottage is a delightful retreat in a charming part of England. From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Electric central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice box, freezer. TV with Freesat, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Public car park nearby (free off season) and drop off point to front of cottage. Enclosed rear terraced garden and patio to front with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 0.6 miles, pub 30 metres. Note: The power shower on the first floor is no longer in use, however there is another shower in the property. Note: Mobile phone reception is very limited. Note: Stair to upper floor is very steep and narrow. Note: Rear garden is terraced with some 2 metre drops so children will need to be supervised at all times.

One of the gems of the East Coast is the lovely Runswick Bay. With its narrow cobbled streets and quaint cottages, this picturesque old fishing village nestles in a small bay just nine miles from Whitby. Backed by spectacular cliffs and moorland scenery, this is not a typical tourist spot; cars have restricted access to the village which makes it an ideal place to relax and unwind without the sights and sounds of the modern world. Reached via cobbled, twisting alleyways, visitors can enjoy the sandy beach - well known for fossil hunting - and various cliff-top walks including the Cleveland Way. Local amenities within Runswick Bay are plentiful and include three local inns, all serving food, and one tea-room. A village shop is provided by nearby Hinderwell.
