Overview

This semi-detached cottage is located in the village of Bangor, near Menai Bridge and can sleep ten people in five bedrooms. Over three floors: Five bedrooms: 1 x second floor super king-size (zip/link, twin on request) with views, 1 x second floor king with views, 1 x first floor super king-size (zip/link, twin on request) with views and en-suite bathroom with double ended bath, basin and WC, 1 x double, 1 x super-king with views and en-suite shower room with shower, basin and WC. 1 x second floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. 1 x shower room with shower, basin and WC (situated between the ground and first floor). Ground floor cloakroom with basin and WC. Utility. Kitchen with island and breakfast area (seats 6). Dining room with views. Sitting room with wood burning stove and views.

Bryn Ogwen is a Victorian semi-detached cottage in the popular Garth area on the outskirts of Bangor, North Wales. Hosting five bedrooms; a second floor king-size, a second floor twin, a super king-size zip/link with en-suite bathroom, a double, and a twin with en-suite, along with two shower rooms, this property can sleep up to ten people. Inside you will also find a ground floor cloakroom, utility, kitchen with breakfast area, dining room, and sitting room with woodburning stove. To the outside is off-road parking for two cars, secure bike storage, and a sloping lawned garden with side and rear patio. Situated in a wonderful location with beautiful places of interest to explore close by, Bryn Ogwen is a one-of-a-kind cottage in an excellent part of Wales. Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Facilities & Amenities

Gas central heating with woodburning stove in sitting room. Electric cooking range, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer in utility. Smart TV with Freeview, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent, please bring own beach towels. Travel cot and highchair available. Off road parking for two cars (three cars can be parked if they are small/middle sized). Secure bike storage. Sloping lawned garden with side and rear patio. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Eryl Mor Hotel with bar and restaurant next door. Also, within five minutes walk is the Pulcinella Italian restaurant (fantastic and very reasonably priced Italian food), the Tap and Spile Pub (traditional pub with many fine draft ales); Voltaire restaurant that serves excellent vegan food and The Boatyard Pub that serves very good pub lunches and dinners. Beautiful Grade 2 listed Bangor Pier that stretches 1500 feet into the Menai Strait is two minutes walk from the front door (It is open every day and gives an amazing perspective on the Menai Strait and Anglesey - Please note, the pier is currently undergoing a three year renovation project that somewhat restricts access. City centre 15 mins walk. Note: Parking is at the bottom of a fairly steep drive, with steps up to front door, may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Note: Sloped lawn garden at front with unfenced drop to road, children must be supervised. Note: One en-suite has Jack-and-Jill access. Note: No stag/hen or similar.

The Anglesey Coastal Path takes in beautiful scenery, and the island is home to many beaches including Rhosneigr, Trearddur Bay and Red Wharf Bay. The NT mansion Plas Newydd is on the island, while on the mainland further NT properties can be found including Penrhyn Castle and Bodnant Gardens. The spectacular mountains and lakes of Snowdonia are just a short drive way, with plenty of castles, beaches and other attractions on offer in this region.
