Located near the mouth of the Helford River, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mawnan Smith is a pretty little village. It is home to a traditional pub overlooking the water, a restaurant, a church and a handful of shops. The surrounding area is perfect for ramblers, with an abundance of creekside and woodland walks, and subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah. The Helford River also offers opportunities for kayaking and sailing as well as fishing. The nearby maritime town of Falmouth is a popular resort, with a range of shops and restaurants, bowling alley and the National Maritime Museum or why not catch the ferry from Helford Passage to Helford Village and explore the picturesque South Helford?
