Seven bedrooms over first and second floors. 1 x superior four poster bedroom, 1 x king-size double, 4 x king size doubles (can be pulled apart to make twins), 1 x family room with 2 king-size doubles. Five bathrooms with bath, separate shower, basin and WC, 3 of which are en-suite. Ground floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Ground floor his 'n' hers WCs. Basement cinema room, games room with snooker table, WC and cave bar.
The Black Swan Manor is a beautiful old converted pub in the heart of Kendal. Arranged over 4 floors and making the most of the space on offer, the property has 7 bedrooms including one family room sleeping sixteen people, huge sitting room, huge dining room and kitchen and ladies and gents WC on the ground floor. The basement is the perfect hangout with snooker room, cinema room and cave bar, whilst the 1st and 2nd floors accommodate all the bedrooms. Outside there is parking for 5 cars, a hot tub, seating boutique garden and outdoor kitchen. The Black Swan Manor is a fantastic place to enjoy at any time of the year. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. A historic market town with a fine reputation for shopping, Kendal nestles on the banks of the River Kent and is known as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town. Visit The Abbot Hall Art Gallery, its regular collection holding portraits by Kendal born George Romney and works by Turner and Ruskin, with other exhibitions through its links with the Tate. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Garden are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay. Kendal itself is ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. With other attractions such as Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life, the fascinating Quaker Tapestry, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park within easy reach, Kendal provides a superb base for a relaxing break.
