Electric central heating with woodburners. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair and cot available on request. Off-road parking for 2 cars. Small courtyard to the front with furniture, private lawned rear garden with south facing aspect which you can access by going through the two front gates and down the path 10m then through a gate on your left.. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 11 mins and pub 7 mins walk. Note: Steps (27) leading up to property, please take care with pets and children. Please note: It is residential area and to be mindful to neighbouring residents. Note: This property is not suitable for people with mobility issues, steep stairs leading to the first floor.

The market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a enormous tree-house, a rose garden and a walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike. Miles of sandy beaches, castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands are not to be missed.

"We enjoyed our stay here mainly because of the location - the village of Felton is a short walk downhill where the is a good pub/restaurant and a very nice cafe/bakery. It is only a short drive to all the lovely attractions of the Northumberland coast as well as Alnwick. The A1 is very close, although you aren't aware of this in the village, and there are beautiful walks along the River Coquet. There were only two of us staying in this 3 bedroom property so we were very comfortable. However, the lack of direct access to the garden was an issue for us, and if you do make the effort to use it there is steep terracing and a sloping lawn. We were not confident that our dog would not escape, and I think it could be a safety risk with young children. Access to the property is down a narrow lane and then a number of steps - not ideal for transferring luggage. However, if you do not need the outside space this might not be a problem. There were a few niggling maintenance issues that needed addressing but they didn't spoil our week here - we reported them to Sykes and hopefully they will be sorted in the off-peak season."
