This beautifully presented studio accommodation rests in the holiday village of Whitbarrow, near Penruddock and can sleep two people in one bedroom. All ground floor. Open plan studio accommodation with double bed, kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a sofa bed (only suitable for children.) Bathroom with bath, shower over, twin basin and WC.

Comprising an open-plan living space with a double bed, a kitchen, dining area and sofa bed, this cottage can sleep two people. There is also a bathroom with a bath, shower over, twin basins and WC. Outside is a patio with furniture, access to on-site facilities and ample off-road parking. Apartment 8 is a wonderfully spacious and romantic retreat for two in the heart of a spectacular area for walking and exploring. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The village of Penruddock is spread out amongst countryside and scenery, and is made up of a number of farm dwellings, Lakeland homes and two churches. Penruddock originated in Celtic times, with the name derived from Pen, a Celtic name for 'hill' and 'rhuddawc' meaning red in Welsh to reflect the reddish brown colour of the soil found in the area. Nearby, the town of Keswick, north of the Lake District, has plenty to offer, boasting numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as miniature golf, parks, the Theatre by the Lake, a cinema and the lake.
