"This is a delightful little cottage, but the description given by Sykes is not totally accurate. There is no dining room at the property and the shop 1.5 miles away is one that sells only the very basics. The nearest Co-op is 3 miles away and there is a McColls 3 miles in the other direction. There is no dining room, but there are two sitting rooms for some odd reason. There is a very small shower room on the ground floor, The sitting room does get chilly in the evenings as the sun shines on the back of the house (the garden is a delight to sit in on warmer evenings) and, as the owner pointed out to us, it is an old stone cottage, so is bound to be chilly, but very cosy once it warms up. I'm sure the log burner would be extremely cosy on chillier nights. I note that the description on TripAdviser states that this property is kid friendly. It isn't. It only sleeps 2 people in one double bed. There is nowhere for a child to sleep and there are no board games for children in the property. Should you need assistance with anything during your stay, the owner is a lovely, friendly and extremely helpful person, for whom nothing is too much trouble."
