Grasmere, in the Lake District, is best known as the home of William Wordsworth. It boasts the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop as well as shops, pubs, a 13th century church and Grasmere Lake. Five miles away is Ambleside and Lake Winderemere with shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House. Cruises, boat trips and water sports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere.

"We have just come back from a week in this beautiful cottage. The cottage is beautifully recently refurbished to the highest degree. Everything you need is on hand. Grasmere is a lovely little village with many coffee shops & restauants to choose from. You can park outside for an hour off load. We have stayed in many cottages over the years, but this has to be the best. A stunning little gem in Grasmere. We will be back."
