The Byre is a barn conversion situated in the village of Allithwaite in Cumbria. It has four bedrooms consisting of a super king-size (zip/link), a king-size with an en-suite and two twin rooms, there is also a cloakroom and a family bathroom, the cottage can sleep eight people. Also inside you will find an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove as well as a utility. To the outside there is off road parking for three cars as well as a rear garden with a lawn, patio and a hot tub. The Byre is a fantastic, cosy cottage in a great spot for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The village of Allithwaite is situated on the western edge of the Cartmel Peninsula, close to the Lake District National Park. Allithwaite has a shop, Post Office and a pub serving food, plus Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands and many places of the Lake District are within easy reach.

"Just returned from a week in The Byres and we are already looking to rebook! The property is as stunning as the pictures, if not more. Extremely spacious - great sized bedrooms and a fab open plan living area. The layout is particularly suitable for 2 families sharing. The property contained everything you could possible want or need and the whole place was clean and immaculately presented. Approx a mile up the road from Cartmel, the more abled body of the group could easily walk down the country lane to the centre of Cartmel and yet the position surrounded by open fields provided a very tranquil setting. Plenty of parking so no hassle and a lovely little playground a couple of minutes up the road. Would highly recommend this property."
