Whitby, an old fishing port, sits surrounded by the North York Moors. The town itself comes with a wide range of places to shop, eat and drink, as well as offering a sandy beaches and much to do including the Captain Cook Museum, the Dracula Experience and Whitby Abbey reached by the 199 steps. Nearby, more seaside fun can be had at Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough, whilst avid ramblers and cyclists can enjoy the Moors. A fascinating day out is promised at the market town of Pickering.
