Min Y Mor 1

Rated 3/50 by on 1st June 2019

"We stayed at Min-y-Mor1 downstairs apartment for 2 nights. I am 6ft 5ins tall and a section of the hallway inside the apartment was very low meaning that getting to the bedroom or even into the bathroom, which had an outwards opening door into the hallway, was a challenge without banging my head. We bought some food for our evening meal but were unable to put the scraps in the bin as there was no bin bag inside the bin. There was also a teaspoon of washing up liquid left in a bottle by the sink so I had to go out and purchase some bin bags and washing up liquid straight away. This is a stark comparison to our last short break in Scotland where upon arrival there was a tray set out on the kitchen table with homemade biscuits a selection of tea and coffee and a pint of milk in the fridge for us to have a drink after our long journey. Our fellow travellers upstairs at Min-y-Mor we believe may have been a team of lead booted deep sea divers from the noise that they made going up and down the stairs throughout the night. Every time they passed in or out the automatic light in the hallway came on which, due to the glass panel above our entrance door, illuminated our darkened bedroom. I tried closing the bedroom door but due to the warm weather it was unbearable. The charming view out of both the bedroom windows was an alley way wall with an array of rubbish bins which at 0720 on the Thursday morning were trundled down the alleyway (after being emptied) with the finesse of the massed band of the Blues and Royals, waking us both up yet again. The large window at the front of the apartment (which needed a good clean) looked straight out onto the main thoroughfare which meant that when we opened the blinds everyone passing by looked in. Aberdyfi is a beautiful village with stunning beaches and views with lots to do nearby. We take lots of short breaks throughout the year staying in a variety of hotels, B&Bs, cottages and apartments but Min-y-Mor1 was not for us."
